Now Let Me Ask A Question That You Never Heard

Ahh, holidays. I love them.

For my birthday my parents got me a Digital Drawing Tablet and I have been using it a fair bit to make animations and just to draw on in photoshop. This is a drawing I did this week:

It didn’t take long but the linework is kinda shifty.

My holidays have been good. My birthday was a blast and this week I hosted a poker night with most of the Pamplemousse regulars! I have finished most of my homework and I spent a whole lot of time with my (not before mentioned) boyfriend Tom.

Easter Sunday was full of family and chocolate. We went to Nunnu and Nunna’s for a BBQ lunch and ate until we were stuffed. After that I was invited around to the boyfriend’s house to meet the parents. I was actually really nervous but it went really well and I have been back there lots. :D As we were having dinner Tom’s parents were trying to think of funny stories they could tell me about him but they couldn’t really come up with many, they kept coming up with stories about his sister though, it was funny because she started to get annoyed and brought up anything about Tom that she could think of. Luckily my parents haven’t had the chance to tell embarrasing stories about me because I’m sure they’ll come up with a few. I can think of a few myself and I realllllllllllllllllllllllllly hope I never have to tell them.

On Tuesday night my whole!!! family came up for dinner, all of them! Well… at least 2 representing each family! ^__^ It was so good to have everyone back together. I wish it was like that all the time. I wish my Uncles would move back from Ceduna and Melbourne and everybody will be back within 20 kms of eachother. But that’ll probably never happen.

On Wednesday I had my birthday party. That morning Amelia came over and helped me set up everything, we had the toughest time trying to put this massive lounge in the courtyard, its full of junk and this lounge only just fit in. By the end of it I was covered in spiderwebs. Then we hung decorations and I put up this massive sheet of paper on the wall and chucked heaps of textas next to it so people could draw all over it and put nice messages on it. I loved the result. The ‘wall’ was full of colour and stories of what me and friends have done together. Most people left at midnight but about 10 people slept over, and myself, Jacob, Tom, Amelia and John stayed up until 3am talking about the most random things from Blythe to how many hands five people have to El Nombre. It was good. The next morning was busy from the start, Jacob and John left early and then I cooked brekky and then mum and I dropped the girls off at the train station!

Satuday night I went to see 17 Again with Mum and Rach. After that because I had made sketchy plans to go to Toms house about 7 mum dropped me off there, I spent about 5 minutes knocking on the door before anybody answered! I hadn’t managed to get through to his mobile and I didn’t know their home number so nobody knew I was coming. I was let in after asking permission. xD

Tuesday was poker night! I had spent the day out and managed to miss the bus to my house so I was then in turn late to my own party. Not good. I got home to find my Uncle in the driveway and nobody else there. :D Somehow I’d forgotten I’d said 6pm to everyone instead of 5pm. After everybody turned up by 7 the fun began. There was a massive game of poker and the rest of us watched a movie called The Night Of The Living Dorks which is horribly fantastic! By the end of the movie everybody was watching. Then they kept on playing poker and those not interested played a game of Cluedo. There was more poker, Guitar Hero, a rather large game of Uno and then it was midnight. I had promised my dad that we’d all be in bed by midnight but some of the guys had other ideas. They started a new game at midnight and that went till three am. Preston and Alik went for a snack run at that time and then they played a game called Bartok till 6am while the rest of us were trying to sleep.

Oh revenge is sweet. I got everybody up by 9 on Wednesday and made them sit down and eat breakfast. After breakfast I needed help cleaning up and as I was the only girl there (Clare had to leave early with my mum to get a lift to the city) I made every guy grab a blanket then fold it. Some ran off as soon as they could I believe just to get out of cleaning, but the lovely ones stuck around to put stuff away and do the dishes (pretty sure John was a pro at cleaning dishes! :P ) If any of them are reading this (Tom, Antho, the Chataway boys and Jacob) thank you so much! It made my cleaning up a whole lot easier.

On Wednesday night Amelia came up to hang out. We ended up watching movies and painting our faces with melted chocolate.  She stayed all day on Thursday and ended up staying over on Thursday night too. All we did on Thursday was hang about the house until about 3 when Amelia, my sister Rachel and I had to catch a bus down to Marion to see the movie 17 Again (again!).  I had made a promise to see it with Tom’s sister Mel (and I couldn’t wait to see it again. :) ) On Friday me and Amelia woke up late, went into town, had lunch with John and then John and I came back to mine so he could help me with my maths assignment.

Today has just been slow, I got up at 4.30am to go to the dawn service at Brighton but as dad was coughing his guts up we didn’t go. At about 10 we went out for brunch and stayed at the family friends house until I begged dad to drop me home so I could finish off this homework. Now I’m off to watch Interview With A Vampire. Did I mention Andy Samberg is amazing!

I Don’t Really Like It Here, But I’ll Stay For Your Sake

Eh, I have a lovely weekend full of movie watching and family lunches ahead of me so today can be list day. Happy list day everyone. I feel like making a ‘website inspiration’ list:

Spirals

Northern Lights

Flickr Tag Browser

Stencil Revolution

They, apart from TheSelby and TheCobraSnake are my newest favouritest places to look at photos.

I have been asked by others what I want for my birthday so here’s an idea of what I want to buy myself over the next month:

Walls Notebook
♥ The latest copy of Harpers Bazaar
Seriously, if someone gets me either of those I will love them forever and ever and ever.
♥ A ten dollar iTunes voucher (There’s just some stuff you can’t find anywhere else.)
♥ Art store voucher

♥ Cranberry or Passionfruit Bodyshop lip balm
♥ An artist cutting board (no, not a chopping board)
♥ A massive handbag that I can use for school. My Nike backpack is dying. :(
♥ Ever After on DVD
♥ Evermore’s/Thursday’s/Manchester Orchestra’s new album
♥ Gold charms for my charm bracelet (only if it’s a reminder of something we’ve done together/an ‘in-joke’)
♥ HERMIT CRABS :DAhaha, I’m a loser
♥ A return ticket to Melbourne

I hope everybody has a safe and happy easter, ONLY TWO MORE DAYS TILL I CAN EAT CHOCOLATE!!! (I gave it up for lent, so yeah, it’s been hard) And I hope nobody has to do too much homework over the two weeks off.

And remember, no meat on Good Friday.

Over and out.

Welcome

Welcome to my dark place. My thoughts, my ideas. I can't keep everything locked away, this is my outlet. It's full of double meanings and cryptic clues. Almost everything that is in my head gets put down. Won't you stay for tea?
